Composite Engineering, Inc. is looking to hire a skilled worker to join the team (full or part time) in building rowing shells, carbon masts, and custom composite projects.
CEI is a small business that is a world leader in boats for Olympic rowing and kayaking as well as high performance sailboat masts and wind turbine blades. The work is varied and interesting as well as detailed and exacting. Custom work involves working with customer to meet his needs. Located near commuter rail shop.
Laminating carbon fiber and epoxy using prepreg, infusion, vacuum bagging, autoclave curing. Assembly of parts and hardware.
Depending on experience may include: supervising, customer service, machining, estimating repair work, tooling and pattern work, CNC milling.
Work to a high level of craftsmanship. Must have good skills with hand and small power tools. Must be organized to work efficiently on own or with others.
Basic education to include: effective verbal and written communication, arithmetic, geometry, reading drawings. Basic knowledge of composite materials. Experience in rowing, kayaking, or sailing a plus.
Ability to work safely with tools and materials and maintain clean and organized work environment. Additional skills not required but a plus: machining, painting, computer, CAD/CAM, engineering, customer service, and administrative.
Depends on skills and experience. Above average for industry.
